Our experienced team of technicians carried out the challenging task of breaking out and removing refractory rubble from the gas gun ring and calciner dome centre piece, ensuring that the surrounding components were not affected.
We meticulously installed pre-casted skewbacks, which were specifically designed and manufactured to fit seamlessly into the cooler unit. Our team utilized specialized scaffolding and wooden shuttering to form the dome and then shuttered and cast the outer and inner segments, centre piece/plug, and gas gun ring. In doing so we closely monitored the curing process to ensure that every segment was properly cast before removing the shuttering.
We also carried out the necessary break out of the side wall in the cooler to expose it to the spray cooler pipes. We then shuttered and cast a panel around the cooler to the spray cooler pipes before air curing and stripping the shuttering.
Overall the project was a success in being able to meet the needs and specifications of the client.
