PRECAST REFRACTORY SHAPES FOR NON- FERROUS INDUSTRIES

DGC’s Precast Division specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of a complete range of customised precast refractory shapes for several industries including non-ferrous metal smelting.

The company’s non-ferrous industry precast refractory shapes have been successfully integrated into different specialty applications within non-ferrous smelter processes for many non-ferrous metals like aluminum, copper, platinum, and nickel. The precast refractory shapes offer superior performance modular refractory lining solutions, enabling longer service lives, faster installation, shortened repair times, and lower porosities.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

The precast refractory shapes are manufactured off the client’s site, under controlled conditions, dried-out in purpose built production facilities under stringent quality control systems, ensuring the manufacture of accurate moulds and subsequent casting of the special shapes to ensure an enhanced product service life. Precast refractory shapes offer the added benefits of ease of installation and shortened repair times.

The general precast refractory production process comprises the following major stages:

  • Design & engineering

  • Mould design & cutting

  • Mixing, casting, curing & drying

  • Delivery

  • Modular installation
